Andante on the Thames

Thanks to Sarah on Warrior for pointing out that narrowboat Andante has once again appeared on the market.  Andante was my first narrowboat which I sold to Sarah several years ago.  Now renamed Saxon and looking very smart indeed, with yet another new colour scheme, lots of new kitchen and bathroom fittings and now a new engine too, she will make a superb boat for someone although I can’t help thinking theres lots of bigger boats on the market in the new price range of around £26,950. 

I can only hope that in my old age I continue to rise in value in the same way as Andante has!

After Sarah sold Andante, she returned to the Kennet & Avon under the new name of Saxon, was then sold at Whilton brokerage and subsequently moved to Middlewich where she was last seen moored at the end of last year.  She is now for sale through Longport Brokerage, at Stoke on Trent Boats, where my other boat was built in 1990.   Small world I guess!
